WKAR’s Brant Wells to Serve on PBS Digital Media Advisory Council
WKAR Public Media’s Brant Wells has been appointed to serve on the PBS Digital Media Advisory Council (DMAC). Wells is Senior Director of TV Production & Operations at WKAR in East Lansing.
After working as a freelancer in the commercial arena for 10 years, he found his home in public broadcast making quality, impactful content. Brant serves on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee for the College of Communication Arts & Sciences at Michigan State University and served as a co-moderator for Sustained Dialogue. He is deeply passionate about teaching the next generation of storytellers and creating collaborative environments for content creation and distribution.
Each year the needs of the council are reviewed by PBS Digital and new members are selected based on the upcoming vacancies and the changing needs of the system. Each applicant brings unique qualities and public media contributions.
Also appointed: Natasha Padilla, Director of Audience Engagement at WNET New York Public Media; Ashley Rammelsberg, Senior Web Designer with New Mexico PBS; and Bijan Rezvani, Senior Director of Digital at Public Media Group of Southern California, which includes KCET, PBS SoCal and Link TV.
