Radio Results Network Makes Donation to School Backpack Food Programs

Radio Results Network (RRN), along with First National Bank & Trust of Iron Mountain have announced a donation to the Iron Mountain and Kingsford School Backpack Food Programs. These programs were started to ensure that every Friday, children in need from Iron Mountain and Kingsford schools will receive a weekend’s worth of food. The bag is placed discreetly in their backpack. A typical bag will consist of soups/canned meal, oatmeal or cereal, granola bars, and a couple of snacks.

With First National Bank & Trust’s sponsoring of RRN’s January Dueling Pianos event at Recreation Lanes Antoine Room, the two organizations agreed to a portion of the proceeds being donated to a local organization, with First National Bank & Trust matching the amount donated. The Kingsford and Iron Mountain Backpack Food Programs was the chosen recipient, with $500 being donated to each school to help fund the backpack programs.

“Radio Results Network is excited to have partnered with First National Bank & Trust and Recreation Lanes to bring in top tiered entertainment with Dueling Pianos,” said Jay Fisher, Director of Sales. “It was made even better because we are able to bring a portion of the proceeds to these fantastic programs to help out local children and families who might struggle with food security on the weekend. Since Radio Results Network acquired 93.1 KRock, 94.3 the Breeze and Newstalk 1450 WMIQ in 2020, we have been looking for these opportunities to be a bigger part of the community, beyond entertaining with music and local programming.”
