Q. What is the COVID-19 event policy for the 2022 Great Lakes Media Show?

A. The MAB will follow the CDC guidelines for COVID-19 prevention and health safety at the time of the Great Lakes Media Show.  More will be posted as we get closer to the event.

Q. When and Where is the 2022 Great Lakes Media Show?

A. The 2022 #MABshow will take place March 2 and 3 at the the Lansing Center, 333 E. Michigan Ave., in downtown Lansing.


Q. How do I register for the conference?

A. Students, Educators, Parents Register here (Link coming soon!). All other Attendees click here. There are multiple registration options available. General attendees should choose the appropriate Thursday option.  Broadcast Excellence Award tickets will be under a separate registration, available in January 2022. Online Registration closes Monday, February 14, 2022. Onsite Registration will be available. Space is limited and lunch is not guaranteed.


Q. If I only want to attend the Career Fair and Exhibit Hall…do I still have to register?

A. Yes-Choose the “Exhibits Only” free registration.


Q. Is there a cancellation policy?

A. Cancellations for paid registrations received in writing by February 16, 2022, are refundable, less a $20 processing fee. After February 16, 2022, cancellations are subject to the entire fee. Any invoices unpaid after February 14, 2022 are subject to cancellation and/or limited meal availability.


Q. What lodging options are available for the conference?

Q. What parking is available for the event?

A. Several convenient parking facilities and meters are located within walking distance of Lansing Center. Click here to learn more.


Q. What is the closest airport to the Lansing Center?

A. Lansing’s Capital Region International Airport is located about 5.5 miles from the Lansing Center.


Q. Is there a dress code for the conference?

A. Business Casual/ Professional is acceptable for the entire conference. Participants prefer to wear more formal attire to the Broadcast Excellence Awards.

Q. I noticed ‘Beer & Bull’ is at the Lansing Brewing Company. Is that within walking distance of the Lansing Center?

A. Yes, but there also will be a shuttle service available from 5:30 to 11:00 p.m.


Q. I would like to attend the Keynote Session. Am I guaranteed a seat?

A. All conference sessions are seated on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will do our best to accommodate — but we must adhere to the fire code policies regarding room capacities.
