November 3, 2023

Rebecca Falk

Rebecca Falk, the longtime Marketing and Promotion Director at Audacy Detroit, passed away October 27.  Falk was 53.

“Rebecca was a true marketing leader in our industry. She was loved, and respected by all of her co-workers and partners,” Senior VP/Market Manager Debbie Kenyon said in a statement to Inside Radio. “She was a key part of Audacy Detroit’s success over the years and will be missed.”

Falk worked at the cluster through CBS Radio ownership, its merger with Entercom, and the company’s rebranding to Audacy. She oversaw the marketing and promotions efforts of country WYCD (99.5), classic hits WOMC (104.3), modern rock “Alt 98.7” WDZH, news WWJ (950), and sports “97.1 The Ticket” WXYT.

Rebecca Falk served on the MAB Foundation Board of Directors from 2017 - 2023. While on the board, she contributed valuable insight as a member of the Development and Fundraising Committee, which was charged with long term fundraising initiatives, annual giving campaigns, and organizing special events for the MAB Foundation.

Tim Roberts, VP of Programming for Audacy Detroit posted a heartfelt Facebook tribute to his longtime colleague that reads, in part, “It’s taken me all day and it’s so hard even to put into words when you lose someone you love. Rebecca Falk was my coworker and right hand partner here, first with CBS in Detroit, and then Audacy with WYCD, WOMC, WDZH, WWJ, WXYT for almost 20 years. She was our right hand in everything in our radio world, tireless worker, fierce competitor, creative genius and maybe the biggest dog lover I’ve ever known. She also helped about 1000 charities…. We’re gonna miss her SO much, our hearts are broken. She would truly be blown away by the outpouring of love her way, she was completely selfless (never on social media) and always put others and everyone’s welfare above her own. That’s what angels do… RIP Rebecca, prayers for your family, God bless.”

Services for Falk were scheduled for today (11/3) in Farmington Hills.
