Matthew ‘Mojo’ Lersch Returns to the Lansing Airwaves

Matthew ‘Mojo’ Lersch

Townsquare Media has announced that Matthew ‘Mojo’ Lersch has joined their cluster in Lansing in a dual-station air personality role.  Lersch joins the station’s WITL-FM as morning drive co-host, paired up with Kristen Matthews for the 5:30 to 10 a.m. shift as “The WITL Wake Up Show With MJ and Kristen.”

Lersch also adds afternoon drive duties for the company’s classic rock WMMQ-FM.

He previously spent 23 years at the then Rubber City Radio Group, now Midwest Communications cluster, first at Alternative “92.1 The Edge” WWDX as evening and morning host followed by sixteen years at Rock “Q106” WJXQ where he would rise to Program Director until his exit in 2019.

In a post on the WMMQ website, Lersch wrote about his love affair with radio:  “Let’s talk about some of the things I love most about you, radio. I love meeting listeners and getting to know them; I’ve made some good friends. I am all in for community involvement. I believe that it’s our responsibility as broadcasters to do good and lead the way whenever possible. My affair with you, radio, never died. I have missed you dearly.”
