MAB’s Rob Elhenicky One of ’50 Names to Know in Lobbying’

Crain’s Detroit Business has named MAB lobbyist Rob Elhenicky of Lansing-based Kelley-Cawthorne to its 2020 list of “50 Names to Know in Lobbying.”  Elhenicky has been with Kelley-Cawthorne since 2002, and became a partner in 2005. In addition to the MAB, he also represents retail giant Walmart and is credited with organizing the coalition of retailers that spent years lobbying the Legislature to repeal Michigan’s item-pricing law that required a price tag on single items for sale in supermarkets. The Legislature eliminated item-pricing in 2011.

His other clients include the American Chemistry Council, alcoholic beverage giant Diageo and the Michigan Wine Producers Association, the latter of which he’s lobbied on behalf of for laws allowing producers to ship wine directly to customers.

In addition to Elhenicky, Kelley-Cawthorne’s Melissa Yutzey McKinley was also included in Crain’s 2020 list.  Kelley-Cawthorne was founded by Dennis Cawthorne and former Attorney General Frank Kelley
