If you’re a high school or college student interested in pursuing broadcasting, film, or media as a career, we want to hear from you! Committee members meet to discuss MAB Foundation programs and share thoughts on how we can better serve the needs of media students in Michigan.
Applications must be received by Wednesday, November 25, 2020.
Please email, fax, or mail the following information to the MAB Foundation before the deadline:
- Signed Consent Forms
- 1 recommendation letter from an academic advisor
- 200-300 words about your thoughts on improving the MAB Foundation’s services, programs, and events or what you see as the future of the MAB Foundation

Grace AdelmannSalem High School
Grace Adelmann is currently a senior at Salem High School. She currently works as the Promotions Director for 88.1 The Park. This fall she will be attending Northern Michigan University to study Social Media Design Management to one day become a social media manager for a non-profit organization. Outside of school, she’s a lifeguard who loves to hike, paint, and do photography.
Rachel FultonAvondale High School
Rachel Fulton is a junior in high school. Her favorite thing to do after school is going to the radio room to work on liners, DJ picks, or anything else needed at the moment. Outside of radio life she is a part of the varsity swim team, French club, and the green team, which focuses on Earth friendly living. She also has taken an interest in choir which she has been a part of since 7th. Outside of school, she works at Claire’s located at the Great Lakes Crossing mall in Auburn Hills.
Lacie D. HudsonMichigan State University
Lacie D. Hudson
Lacie D. Hudson is a Junior at Michigan State University studying Journalism with a concentration in Broadcast. She is originally from Detroit, Michigan, but grew up in Los Angeles, California. In LA she hosted and produced a teen news show for a doll company, which is what introduced her to Broadcast Journalism. She enjoys writing, taking photos, volunteering with organizations such as Forgotten Harvest and spending time with her loved ones. She is an interning reporter in television and radio and strives to relay authentic information that her audience can trust. Her main goal is to be transparent and reliable in her communication with society through reporting and anchoring. During the school year she serves as a News Stringer for 1320 WILS-AM Radio and this summer she worked as an Assignment Desk Intern at Detroit’s WDIV Local 4 station. She is extremely grateful to be a part of the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Student Advisory Committee and looks forward to making a difference within the organization.
Emma JohnstonPlymouth High School
Emma Johnston is a junior in high school. She is the news director at her high school radio station. Her favorite thing to do is write and record news and DJ, but she loves anything related to radio. Emma also plays varsity field hockey and is the student intern with a non-profit organization, The Goodfellows. She is looking to gain more knowledge and experience in the field of media and broadcasting.
Bailey MruzikAdrian College
Bailey is a current junior at Adrian College pursuing a major in communications and a minor in journalism. She works as an on-air announcer and sideline reporter for Adrian’s television station, ACTV. Bailey is also part of the cross country and track team, National Society of Leadership and Success, and honors program at Adrian. In the future, she hopes to become a broadcast journalist.
Logan PizzurroAvondale High School
Logan Pizzurro is currently a senior at Avondale High School. He loves listening to classic rock, which is one of the reasons he joined radio. He enjoys being in the studio whenever he can, although the pandemic has really gotten in the way of that. He has been enjoying recording at home and doing live shows remotely. Outside of radio, Logan is involved with music playing guitar, drums, and other instruments. He loves working with computers and enjoys programming.
Leonard PooleAdrian College
Leonard Poole is currently a Junior attending Adrian College. Raised in Norton Shores, Michigan Leonard is currently studying Communications Arts in hopes to become a news reporter. Leonard’s expected graduation date is 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree.
Cameon WadeAdrian College
Cameon Wade is 17 years old and the oldest of six siblings. She has been involved with film for the past five years and can never seem to get enough of it. She will be attending Adrian College in the fall and will study video and film.
