FCC Proposes 20% Hike for Most Radio Stations Annual Fees
According to a report in Inside Radio, the FCC released its preliminary annual regulatory fees guidelines. It appears that most radio stations will pay an average of 20% more. For the biggest FMs in the largest markets, the annual fee would increase to $22,650 compared to $18,880 last year.
The agency is proposing a similar increase for the AM stations with the biggest stations annual fee going up to $17,950 from last year’s $15,050.
