Entercom Holds Radiothon to Raise Money for Detroit Police Athletic League

On September 21,  Entercom/Detroit radio stations teamed together for the “Step Up to The Plate” Radiothon from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Entercom stations highlighted special prizes for donors every hour and brought stories about the great work PAL does in the community. The first 25 people to donate $1,000 received dirt from the pitcher’s mound at the old Tigers Stadium, courtesy of the Detroit Tigers.

“Like many other non-profits in our area, Detroit Police Athletic League (PAL) is in much need of funds to help us bridge the gap to support our programming to continue into the Fall, Winter and even into next year,” said Detroit PAL CEO Robert Jamerson. “One challenge we often face is to garner exposure, as people may not realize there is significant need to help the youth of Detroit find their greatness and we can’t thank Entercom enough for stepping up in a big way to give us the platform to help share that message.”
