WBCK/WBXX Raise Nearly $78K for Haven Of Rest

On June 21 and 22, Townsquare Media’s WBCK-FM/WBXX-FM (Battle Creek) held their 13th Roofsit event to fund Haven Of Rest’s Inasmuch House for the Homeless.  The  goal was to raise $70,000 this year and the station’s listeners came through and exceeded that goal, raising (at press time) $77,254.22. Former WBUP/WBKP-TV Chief Engineer Gerry Heyn Passes

The MAB has learned that former Lake Superior Community Broadcasting Corporation (WBUP/WBKP-TV) Chief Engineer Gerald H. (Gerry) Heyn passed away May 29 at age 83.
