Alpha Media stations in Saginaw, lead by WSGW-AM/FM, held their 5th Annual Sharing Hope Radiothon on December 16, raising $50,100 in the 12 hour broadcast, exceeding the original goal of $40,000 and surpassing last year’s total of $47,190. The goal for this year was lowered over concern about the impact the pandemic imposed. However, listeners, sponsors and volunteers united to make it possible to provide 1,670 nights of shelter, food and counseling for homeless guests who come to City Rescue Mission in Saginaw and Good Samaritan Shelter in Bay City.

The radiothon aired on WSGW AM/FM and was cross-promoted on WCEN-FM (94.5 The Moose), WTLZ-FM (Kiss 107.1) and WGER-FM (Mix 106.3). Over the 15 years WSGW has raised $541,000 for the homeless in the Saginaw, Bay City, Midland Market.
