Nationwide Test of the Emergency Alerting Systems Postponed Until October 3, 2018

DIRS Test for This Week Cancelled

The FCC has announced that the DIRS exercise scheduled for this Thursday and Friday, 9/13-14, due to Hurricane Florence. FCC plans on having a DIRS test for broadcasters after the hurricane season is over.

Reminder: Lowest Unit Rate for November Election in Effect

On September 7, the lowest unit rate window for the upcoming November election went into effect. During this window, broadcasters cannot charge candidates any more for advertising than the broadcaster’s Lowest Unit Rate for advertising time of the same class run during the same daypart.
