Debbie Kenyon Elected Chairman of MAB
At its annual business meeting, held Tuesday, August 30 at the Inn at St. John's in Plymouth, Michigan, Debbie Kenyon, Senior Vice President/Market Manager for CBS Radio Detroit, was unanimously elected the 71st Chairman of the MAB, one of the largest and most successful state broadcast associations in the nation.  Ms. Kenyon will lead the 369 member stations, representing over 9,000 jobs in broadcasting and related industries, with an economic impact of over $1.62 billion GDP on the state.

Ms. Kenyon has been on the MAB board since 2007 and rose through the chairs to the top elected position.  Also elected to her executive committee are: Vice Chairman/Chairman Elect Peter Tanz, Midwest Communications; Secretary/Treasurer Gary Baxter WSYM-TV; At-Large Director Zoe Burdine -Fly, Townsquare Media and Immediate Past Chair Ed Fernandez, E. W. Scripps Co.

"I am honored to hold the position of Chairman over the next year.  We are in an exciting time in our industry and I look forward to helping move the organization forward along with staff, board and members," said Ms. Kenyon.

Kenyon has managed her six award winning stations for eight years.  She lives in the Detroit area with her husband and three children.
