The members of the Michigan Association of Broadcasters (MAB) held a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. on the new Karole L. White Great Lakes Media Center located in downtown Lansing. This state of the art building will serve as the new headquarters of the MAB, MAB Foundation and the Michigan Association of Public Broadcasters (MAPB).

The building will be located just three blocks from the State Capitol and across the street from the Michigan Hall of Justice building on the corner of Ottawa and Sycamore.
The groundbreaking ceremony included comments by City of Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero; MAB Board Chairman Chris Warren, Midwestern Broadcasting Company; MAB Property Committee Chairman Tim Feagan, iHeartMedia West; Developer David Ferguson, Ferguson Development; and MAB President/CEO Karole White.
The Center, when complete, will be a nearly 10,000 square foot building and will include a 1,000 square foot distance learning conference room, which will also serve as a reception area for community events and meetings. The center will also offer a radio interview room and television production area so that media outlets may schedule live on-air or digital interviews with government officials.
