Lifetime Achievement Award and Hall of Fame nominations
MAB Lifetime Achievement Award Qualifications:
due by 5:00 P.M. (EDT), Monday, April 30
Nominees must be a Michigan broadcast pioneer, living or posthumously, who has dedicated the majority of his or her professional career to broadcasting in the state of Michigan and has distinguished himself or herself through a lifetime of service as a top manager or owner through excellence in broadcasting in the following: state, national or international industry leadership; service on the MAB, NAB or other industry organizational boards; community involvement; and industry innovation. The recipient is chosen by vote of the MAB Board of Directors, the MAB Foundation Board of Directors, MAPB Board of Directors, the MAB Awards Committee, MAB Past Presidents/Chairmen and Past Lifetime Achievement and Hall of Fame Award Recipients from the following: the nominees received, the list of nominees received from previous years, and the inductees in the Broadcasting Hall of Fame. The award is given as recipients are identified (which is not necessarily each year). This is the highest honor given by the MAB to one of its members.
Michigan Broadcasting Hall of Fame Qualifications:
Nominees must have a distinguished professional career in Michigan broadcasting. The nominee must exemplify integrity, innovation, achievement, leadership, contributions to the industry as a whole, demonstrated service to their community above and beyond that which may be expected to meet the guidelines of the FCC and must have a positive influence on individuals in the profession. The nominee may hold or have held positions within the Michigan broadcasting industry, including the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, the National Association of Broadcasters or any other industry-related trade organization. Inductees are chosen by vote of the MAB Board of Directors, the MAB Foundation Board of Directors, MAPB Board of Directors, the MAB Awards Committee, MAB Past Presidents/Chairmen and Past Lifetime Achievement and Hall of Fame Award Recipients. The committee decides the number of individuals inducted into the Hall of Fame in each year. A MAB Lifetime Achievement Award winner may be chosen from the inductees of the Michigan Broadcasting Hall of Fame.
All nominations must include a resume and/or bio for the nominee, a digital photo and summary statement of why you are nominating the person. Complete the form below and be as descriptive as possible. Please understand that there are many worthy broadcasters nominated and although your nominee may not be selected this particular year, the nomination stands for five years.
