Campaign: MI College Goal
Every year, thousands of Michigan students, and their families, miss out on financial resources that may be available to them to help pay for college and other post-secondary training. To ensure all college-bound Michigan students have access to available financial resources and to increase the number of Michigan students who continue their respective educations beyond high school, the Michigan Department of Treasury is proud to be a partner for MI College Goal.
In previous years, thanks to assistance from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters and its member stations, MI College Goal has assisted thousands of students and their families. We hope to see continued success in 2016 and respectfully request that you ask member stations to air our 30-second Public Service Announcement to help promote this important event.
During MI College Goal events, at more than thirty locations around the state, financial aid experts and volunteers will help students fill out and submit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA, all free-of-charge! The FAFSA is required for students to receive almost any form of student financial aid, including the Federal Pell Grant. Studies show students who complete and submit a FAFSA, generally go on to attend college.
MI College Goal events are scheduled throughout February, with event locations listed at www.MICollegeGoal.org.
Thank you, in advance, for your assistance with this important program.
