MSU's Wildman Named FCC Chief Economist
FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski has named Michigan State University Professor/Economist Steven Wildman Chief Economist for the agency.  Wildman succeeds Marius Schwartz, who is returning to Georgetown University.

Wildman holds the James H. Quello Chair of Telecommunications Studies at MSU and is acting chair of the Department of Telecommunication, Information Studies and Media. The late Jim Quello was a one-time acting chair of the FCC and a long-time commissioner.  

Wildman will join the FCC in January.
