|Department Of State Releases Proposed Ballot Language|
The Department of State has just released its proposed language that would appear on the November ballot describing five of the seven ballot proposals.
It did not include proposed language for the two proposals denied certification so far – casino expansion and collective bargaining.

The referendum on the emergency manager law - read here.
The constitutional amendment requiring utilities to generate 25 percent of their power from renewable sources by 2025 - read here.
The constitutional amendment ensuring the right to unionize for the state’s home help workers as well as the registry of those workers - read here.
The constitutional amendment only allowing tax increases with two-thirds majorities in both houses of the Legislature or a statewide public vote - read here.
The constitutional amendment requiring a statewide public vote on any new international border crossings - read here.
Links are included above to the proposed language for each proposal. The Board of State Canvassers will consider the proposed language at its Monday (8/27) meeting.
