John F.X. Browne Passes
It is with the deepest of sadness that we inform you of the passing of John F.X. Browne. He served on the Michigan Association of Broadcasters board of directors and has been part of our Great Lakes Broadcasting Conference since its beginning. He helped to write the broadcasting tower rules with the Michigan Aeronautics Commission.

John was one of the first to receive the Carl E. Lee Engineering Award. He was also inducted into the MAB Broadcasting Hall of Fame among many other honors and tributes.

Our industry will miss his knowledge and his friendship. Our condolences to his wife Kay, his family and many friends. Please see the Obituary link below. Visitation Wednesday March 14, 2-9 PM at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel) 32515 Woodward between 13-14 mile. Prayers 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be Thursday March 15, at St. Hugo of Hills Church 2215 Opdyke Rd. Bloomfield Hills 48304, visitation 10:00 AM funeral at 11:00 AM.
