Governor Rick Snyder (pictured left) and a panel of distinguished business and education leaders will address broadcast media during the Michigan Association of Broadcasters’ Great Lakes Broadcasting Conference and Expo (GLBC) March 14 at 8:00 a.m.
The Governor will speak during the opening session immediately following a panel comprised of some of Michigan’s top business strategists, who will lay out their plans for the reinvention of the state’s economy and how broadcast media can help in this effort.
The panel will be hosted by WWJ-TV (CBS), Detroit’s Carol Cain (pictured right), senior producer and host of the acclaimed show “Michigan Matters.” The panelists include the following:
• Gerard Anderson, President/CEO, DTE Energy
• Mary Sue Coleman, President, University of Michigan
• Doug Rothwell, President/CEO, Business Leaders for Michigan
• Peter Secchia, Grand Rapids Businessman and Former U.S. Ambassador to Italy
This important panel, and the Governor’s address, will be recorded by WKAR-TV and made into an hour-long public broadcasting television special to air on public television stations in early May. It will also be provided to C-Span.
