Award to be presented to Congresswoman Miller during the Awards Banquet at the MAB Advocacy Conference and Annual Meeting, August 30-31 at The Inn at St. John's.  Details here.

The Michigan Association of Broadcasters Board of Directors is proud to present the 2016 Lifetime of Distinquished Public Service Award to Congresswoman Candice Miller (R-10). This prestigious award is given to a lawmakers and/or other public official for their dedicated service to the Michigan Broadcasting industry.  This person is selected by the MAB Executive Committee and approved by the MAB Board of Directors.

Representative Miller has been firm in her unwavering support of the over-the-air broadcasting, including her continuous co-sponsorship of the Local Radio Freedom Act, which opposes performance taxes on local over-the-air radio stations. The Congresswoman also stood with the television broadcasters during the spectrum auction legislative debate to ensure that over-the-air broadcasters can continue serving their communities in delivering local news, emergency information and entertainment.
