MAB Launches New Member Digital Media Resource
Michigan-based Jacobs Media has been selected by the MAB to provide innovative and important services to its members that center on helping radio and television stations improve their digital, social media, and mobile strategies. For the past thirty years, Jacobs Media has consulted a wide variety of broadcasters across North America in these areas. They have a team of experts that will be on call to provide advice at no charge to MAB members.

Adding these services to those already offered by the MAB came directly from an MAB members research study conducted in 2012-13 that identified the need for reliable, unvarnished information about digital strategies, social media, and the mobile opportunity.

The entire Jacobs Media team will participate in the “MAB Digital Hotline” initiative, including Fred and Paul Jacobs who work in the digital space from the programming and sales perspectives, as well as social media maven Lori Lewis, and mobile expert Bob Kernen (who heads up jacapps, the company’s mobile application development arm).

From Facebook to Twitter, from Apple to Android, from websites to email databases, the Jacobs team is at the disposal of MAB members. If they cannot provide the answers themselves, they will refer questions to other industry resources that are available. The key is to help MAB members quickly and confidentially get the one on one answers they need to better do business in the rapidly growing digital ecosphere.

MAB members can access the “Digital Hotline” during regular business hours at (248) 353-9030 or via email at
