2014 State of the State Information
The Michigan Association of Broadcasters is coordinating a clean television feed in HD of Governor Rick Snyder's State of the State Address on Thursday, January 16th.

In addition, a feed of WKAR-TV audio will be provided to radio stations statewide through the Michigan Radio Network and Michigan Farm Radio Network as well as through streaming here on the MAB website.  Access the audio stream on this page.

Television Stations:  if you have not already filled out our Survey Monkey to let us know if you will be covering the State of the State, please click here to complete by Noon on Monday, January 13.


If you have questions on the TV feed and satellite coordinates prior to the 16th, contact Gary Blievernicht at WKAR-TV: 517-884-4720 or GaryB@wkar.org. Gary is coordinating the TV coverage for both commercial and public television stations.

Credentials:  You must have credentials to enter the Capitol Building.  To get credentials for your staff, contact John Whetstone at 517-373-3528 or jwhetstone@house.mi.gov.

The television uplink this year is provided by Central Michigan University.  Shawn Hoskey (hoske1st@cmich.edu) and Wayne Henderson. Location coordinator will be Brett King (king@michmab.com) of the MAB staff.
